Subject: sigmoid leads to halo CME

Yesterday I wrote to Canfield & Slater to point out this lovely sigmoid in
the southern hemisphere -- a near-perfect 'S' shape.  Early this morning,
it appears that this region erupted.  The location means this 'gun' was
pointed almost directly at Earth.  A halo CME was reported by LASCO, and
EIT also saw the flare and flare-wave.  We're reformatting the data now,
hope to be able to tell you more soon.
	This comes at a nice time, given that we'd like to do a SSU soon.
